When I try to show or hide PopUpCop using Internet Explorer's toolbar menu, a different toolbar shows or hides.
Easy PopUpCop Fix
|
Internet Explorer tries to keep track of the location and identity of each toolbar add-in
that you have installed. Unfortunately, sometimes after installing or uninstalling a toolbar,
Internet Explorer gets confused about which toolbar is which. In these situations, when you
check or uncheck a toolbar item on the View >>> Toolbars menu, the actual toolbar which is
shown or hidden is not the one that you checked.
How can I fix this problem?
EdenSoft has written a small program which will correct the situation. If you run
the program, the problem described above will be corrected, but you will have to
configure your toolbar again. Click here to download the program.
If you prefer to fix the problem manually using regedit.exe, instructions are available
from Microsoft here. While the symptoms described in the Microsoft article
is not the same as the one described here, the resolution for both problems is the same.
Once you have downloaded and run the FixTBConflicts.exe program, you will have to configure your toolbars again.
Click here for instructions on how to configure your toolbars.
